Singapore Botanic Gardens is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful green spaces in the city, offering visitors a peaceful escape from the bustling urban landscape. Located near the Orchard Road shopping district, the gardens span 82 hectares and feature a stunning collection of plants from around the world. Highlights include the National Orchid Garden, home to over 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids of orchids, as well as the Rainforest, which preserves a section of Singapore’s original tropical rainforest.
In addition to the lush flora, the Botanic Gardens offers a range of attractions, including serene lakes, walking trails, and the Symphony Lake, where free outdoor concerts are held on weekends. It’s a perfect spot for a family outing, photography, or a peaceful walk. The gardens are easily accessible by public transport, with Bus No. 7, 75, 106, 123, 174, and others stopping nearby, as well as being just a short walk from the Botanic Gardens MRT Station on the Circle Line.
